About this Speaker

As the Engineer Supervisor for Dam Safety and Floodplain Management, Whit Montague oversees regulatory support, technical assistance, and stakeholder involvement on floodplain management and dam safety issues at the local, state, and federal levels. Montague works with Arkansas towns and counties to ensure that the unique strengths and challenges of agricultural communities are recognized and incorporated into risk mitigation strategies and resilience planning. Montague leverages her more than 30 year of experience in the environmental management arena to amplify the voices of Arkansas communities through numerous outreach, training, and public speaking events. 

 

Originally from the Chesapeake Bay area, Ms. Montague has called Arkansas home for twenty years. She lives in Little Rock with her husband, David Montague, her child Mace, and two rescue dogs, Ethan and Henry.
