About this Speaker
Laura Paul is the Executive Director of lowernine.org. She volunteered from 2006-2007 to help people recover from Hurricane Katrina. She did this work in St. Bernard, Plaquemines, and Orleans Parishes. She became a founding board member of lowernine.org in 2007. In 2008, she joined as staff. She is also a resident of the Lower Ninth Ward. As such, Laura knows first-hand the issues the community faces. She also has a passion for meeting the needs of her neighbors. Laura has held her current position since 2011.
